Blast Resistant Modules
Hardened structures for oil, gas and petrochemical facilities, engineered to keep people protected and operations running when an explosion event occurs without warning.
What is a Blast-Resistant Module?
A Blast-Resistant Module (BRM) is a purpose-engineered structural unit designed to maintain its integrity — and protect its occupants — during an accidental explosion event at a process facility. Unlike conventional site cabins, every Mecton BRM is designed from the ground up to absorb and deflect overpressure loads defined by your site's risk assessment.
Our modules undergo rigorous physical blast testing and are rated to a Medium Response classification — sustaining 10 PSI at 200 milliseconds duration without structural failure or occupant injury. Each unit is designed in line with API RP 752 and API RP 753.
Every Function. Hardened.
From muster refuge to daily working office, Mecton delivers blast protection across your entire facility footprint.
Refuge Shelters & Bunkers
Primary muster-point protection engineered to keep personnel safe during blast events on hazardous process facilities.
Office Modules
Fully habitable hardened workspaces providing blast-resistant accommodation without compromising operational productivity.
Laboratories
Precision-engineered protected environments for analytical and testing operations in high-risk process zones.
Workshops
Heavy-duty hardened workshop facilities for maintenance operations in close proximity to live process equipment.
Security Buildings
Access control and guard facilities engineered for perimeter security in petrochemical and industrial plants.
Portable Storage
Protected storage for sensitive equipment and critical materials in hazardous operational environments.
Performance by the Numbers.
Built In, Not Bolted On.
Every Mecton BRM ships with the structural hardening and interior fit-out already built in — from steel-gauge wall panels to fire and life-safety systems — so the unit is ready to occupy the day it arrives on site.
